Pesarattu also called as MLA Pesarattu is from the Dosa family and a native to Andhra Pradesh. It is full of protein and the combination with Upma makes it a very filling breakfast.

2 Cups Green Gram Dal
1/4 Cup Rice
5 Green Chillies
1/4 Cup Ginger
Salt As Required
For the Dosa
2 Onions
2 Tsp Cumin Seeds
1/4 Cup Ginger
2 Green Chillies
Oil/Ghee as Required

PROCEDURE
- Soak green gram and rice overnight or at least for 8-10 hrs & grind it with green chillies,ginger,salt and water to a dosa batter consistency and keep aside.
- Take a dosa pan and pour half a cup of batter and spread in circular motion.
- Pour some oil over the edges and then sprinkle cumin seeds,onion,green chillies and ginger and cook under medium flame.
- At this point add upma on to the dosa and leave it for another few seconds to get a more crispy dosa.
